Freshmen note
test procedure
tíe came without warning.
With a roaring clap of thunder, he
was there. Ail eyes turned from
the man they call "Pac", all eyes
turned from Luke and Laura.
Everyone gazed in awe at the man
next to the burning bush who
stood holding two stone tablets
over his head. There, wrapped in
gray pin-stripe stood Dean
Walker, and as a hush fell over
the room, the Dean spoke in a
voice reminicent of Marcel
Marceau. "Eat, drink and follow
these, or tomorrow you may die,"
and he proceeded to give the
FINAL EXAMINATION PRO-
CEDURE.
The first rule is that tests may
no longer be inscribed in blood.
Unless otherwise provided, all
answers to the exams must be
written in pen on a new legal pad.
The pad should be placed on the
proctor's desk with no student
using the pad he or she brought.
If a student wished to type his
exam, he/she must bring legal
size typing paper. Final exams
will no longer be allowed to be
taken on black construction
paper.
Secondly, each exam is num-
bered. When picking up the test
at the proctor's desk, the student
should sign next to his name on
the print out and place the
number of the test next to his
name in the space provided. It
should be stressed that the
number on the test is simply for
identification, and does not nec-
essarily reflect what the student's
score will be.
Thirdly, a student should place
his exam face down on his desk
and proceed only when allowed to
do so by the proctor. Once
started, a student should skip
every other line, and if typed, the
paper should be double spaced.
During the exam, there will be no
smoking of anything, especially
the exam.
If a student should need to
leave, he or she must bring a
letter from home, and then sign
his time "out" and back "in" on
the sign in sheet. Students must
return in five minutes. Two day
absences will not be tolerated.
Each exam number should be
entered at the top center of each
legal sheet. Furthermore, the
front sheet of the exam contains
the "honor pledge" which every
student must sign. Any violation
of this pledge should be reported
to Dean Walker so that that
student might be executed. No
portion of the exam may be
removed from the room, and
students in seminars are remind-
ed that in-class discussions do not
apply to the finals.
Final grades, if wanted, will be
posted by test number on the
arcade bulletin board. A student
should write down his/her test
number at the time of the final.
No grades will be given from the
Dean's office or over the tele-
phone.
Finally, students must not dis-
cuss their test number with their
instructors. If a student is found
guilty of this or any other
violation he/she may either be
expelled from school or sentenced
to law school for life.
