Texas, closed its labors at Bonham
yesterday, and during the session one
the most interesting papers read was
that of Dr. J. B. Stinson, of Sherman,
on tbe dengue fever.
Several brick buildings are under
oourse of oonatroction in tbe oity, and
oontraots have been awarded for quite
a number of others, that will be com
menced in a few days. All of the
buildings, including residences, that
are under headway in Denison, will
ot cost as much as tho Binkley
onae, of this city,
County Court.
The attention of the County Court
has been engaged all day in the trial
of Henry Hackney, charged with an
aggravated assault upon a man by
ths name of Simpson, in Denison.
At this hour tho jury has just taken
tho caso. .

8. Bell, of Vinita, I. T., has in custody
at that place a man believed to be Joe
Sleetzer, who is wanted to answer for
murdering the lVJtil)onoy boys, in the
Cherokeo Nation, in February, 1886.
Pat McCartie was convicted of this
crime and hung at Fort Smith some
months ago and it has always been
known that the |avo j on porpiqittod
tho double murder. Tfio prisoner
claims hi? name is Ed. Nichols, and
says at the timo of the murders, he
was workiug on the railroad at Aledo,
Tex.. He was arrested at Turka, Kan.,
and was turned over to the officers
there by George W. Gadd, a detec
tive, who has been there for about

Eureka in a box ear as a tramp, qqd
