Habeas Corpns.
George MoCbesney, charged with
murder, had a hearing before Judge
Head today, on a writ of habeas cor
pus, and bis bond reduced from $8000
to $5000, which be is preparing to
make at this hour, (4 p. m). Tb° pose
will be culled later on in the term.

A. P. Wilson, who is employed ÍP

bands in a painful manner last even

A Pitiable Object.
A little excitement was created yes
terday evening late by finding a
strange negro on the street of Wbite-
wright in an insensible condition. A
doctor pronounced the patient in an
epileptic convulsion, which was veri
fied by a oard found in his bat tat
ing that he was a doaf mute and epi
leptic, from Atlanta, Ga. He is the
same one who fell on tho streets of
Sherman some time since, and an ac-
count of which appeared in tho Regis-
ter.
