Che case of Gunter & Munson vs.
H. B. Sanborn et al., in the district
court, was called this afternoon.
This is a case in which tho Hons
ton and Texas Central railway is a
party defendant, and in which 85,000
acres of iand in Potter and Oldham
counties is in question. Gunter &
Munsou claims it under a direct pur
chase from the state, tinder
the 50 cent act, and the de-
fendants claim - it under H and
by virtue of boundary lines established
by the surveyor for the Houston and
Texas Central railway company. The
suit was originally brought in the
oourt at Tascosa, county seat of Old-
ham county. By mutual consent it
was then transferred to the civil dis-
trict court pf Dallas county, aud then
by further consent to the court at
Sherman, whoro it is now on
the civil docket. The case
was postponed after some little argu-
ment today.
At this hour, 4 p. m., tho Court is
engaged in hearing tho dockot called
and hearing announcements or listen-
ing to motions for continuances or
postponements.
