Minerva Ellen Easterling Gentry, age 87, passed
away on Dec. 17, 2019.
She was born on July 27, 1932 in Franklin County
to Henry Edward and Bertha Jewel Howk Easterling.
Minerva is survived by three daughters, Danon
Gentry Sims, Deniece Fulcher and husband David,
Deena Eudy and husband Ricky; son, Bobby Bishop
and wife Betty; granddaughter, Amy DeAnn Sims;
grandsons, Walton W. Sims and wife Amy Michelle,
Danon Ashley Gentry and wife Brittany, Dakota
Gentry Harris; great-grandchildren, Tristan Rich-
ardson, Tessa Richardson, Cooper Sims, as well as
numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband
light to all who crossed her path in her 83 years of
a life well lived.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Ratliff, her
Easterling; sisters, Laura Smith and Nell Bramlett.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, Dec.
19, 2019 at the Hagansport Cemetery under the di-
rection of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Donations in Minerva’s memory may be made to
the Alzheimer’s Association of the Dallas and North
East Texas chapter, 3001 Knox St. Suite 200, Dallas,
TX 75205.
