D. E. Weaver left a fine melon at
this office this week, which was
greatly enjoyed by the entire force.
J. S. McClure of Hart, who has
been visiting abroad, returned Fri-
day, accompanied by his aunt. Miss
E. A. McClure.
Mrs. R. C. Phansteel returned
this week from Goodnight, where
she entered her son, Harry, and
James Higgins in college.
Misses Grace and Rosalind Hana-
ford, of the Green Valley ranch,
were pleasant callers at this office
i Friday evening in company with
Messrs. Conner Jowell and Chris
Garrison.
If soles could be saved E. W.
Harrisos would soon be out of busi-
ness, but as it now stands he has
laid in an excellant line of ladies,
misses, childrens, mens and boys
shoes.
Capt. R. D. Hudson, of the Wax-
ahachie Enterprise, is a pleasant
caller in our city this week. Wher-
ever he is known he is regarded as
a unique character and bears the
catching title of Innocence Abroad.
E. W. Harrison, having had such
splendid success with the mens hose
lately received and now in style,
concluded that ladies might like to
wear hose also, consequently he has
purchased a good supply of ladies
and misses "Topsy" hosiery.
