Come and See Us Before You
Kansans To Locate.
A crowd of twenty Kansas farm-
ers was brought down on last week's
excursion by the J.. P. Snyder Land
Company, the majority of whom pur-
chased land and will move their fam-
ilies here at an early date to begin
the work of improving their newly
chosen homes. Thesfc men all made
their purchases so that they can be
neighbor, each with the others, the
property sold them being the J. N.
Ivy ranch in the northern portion of
this county. The Brand gained the
information in talking with the lead-
ers that they expected to establish a
colony of Kansas farmers in the vi-
cinity of where the first ones have
located.
These men are all good, thrifty
farmers—just the kind we most need
to grow the staple crops suited to
the Panhandle and we should be glad
to see the Snyder Land Co. bring
many of them here.

Prove Commercial Value.
Lincoln, Neb,, Nov. 2, 1906;
Mr. Fred W. Browne,
Chicago, 111.
Dear Sir:
Your kind favor of the 20th from
Amarillo was duly received. Sick-
ness has prevented more prompt re-
ply, and also prevented our making
an earlier trip tQ the Panhandle.
I am glad to learn that Judge Gough
is to have local supervision of the
farm. This farm is just getting to
the point where, with the right kind
of work, some results can be ob-
tained that will surprise everybody.
I sincerely hope that an arrangement
can be made where I can have the
direction of the work on this farm
for two seasons, and that you may
find it to your interest to hold the
farm and operate it at least two
years more, and I assure you, Mr.
Browne, that if you do this and the
proper arrangements can be made, I
will show you some results that will
prove the commercial value of that
land to be many dollars per acre above
the present price. Kindly advise
me at your earliest convenience as
to the possibility of such an arrange-
ment.
I can assure you with two seasons,
with Judge Gough, we can put scien-
tific soil culture where the people of
the Panhandle will appreciate to a
much greater degree than they now
do. Awainingyour further pleasure,
"we are;,
Yours truly,
H. W. Campbell.
