Fort Worth, Texas,
April 13 1906.
Mr. G. A. F. Parker, Prest.,
Hereford, Texas.
My dear Mr. Parker -.—Please ac-
cept my hearty congratulations for
the excellent showing made by your
bank as per statement of April 6th
Your deposit account and profits are
certainly fine, and demonstrate the
substantial growth and good man-
agement of your bank, which is
evidently keeping abreast with the
prosperous condition of your coun-
try. The influx of an industrious
class of citizenship, and who evi-
dently possess means, will, it seems,
eventually make the Panhandle of
Texas a very wealthy section of the
state, and I trust for your good
institution in the future, the pros-
perity and success fully in keeping
therewith.
With personal regards, I am,
Very truly yours,

Summer Normal Faculty.
The faculty for the Summer Nor-
mal to be held in this city in June
and July has been appointed and is
as follows: W. B. Quigley and Miss
Laura Hamner of Amarillo and W.
R. Silvey and Dr. S. E. Burkhead
of Clarendon.
This is a strong faculty and it
goes without saying that the Summer
Normal at Hereford will be a howl-
ing success.
Two Daily Trains.
We notice in Sunday's News that
there will be an additional mail
train put on the Santa Fe Road in
the near future. It is said the train
will run from some point in Kansas
to Roswell, thus giving 'Hereford
two trains each way per day.
This would be a wise move on the
pairt of the Santa Fe management
for their business on this line has
grown to proportions which almost
demand it.
Mr. Prospector!
If it is land you are looking for,
