S. T. Howard brought with hin\
from Quanah his fine stallion, Jeroms
Patchen, a nephew of the celebrated
Joe Patchen with a record of 2 :04 j.
This animal is a beauty and only
adds to the fine stock which is being
brought to this country. He also
brought his fine Jack.
The market for choice butcher
beeves is about all that could be de-
sired. There has been only one
March in twenty-five years when
cattle sold as high in Chicago as
they did last month. The averag*
price for March 1902 was full $1.50
per hundred above the March aver-
age for twenty-five years.—Miami

fine condition, for which he and the

N. M., are to be congratulated.

One of the most notable cattle

merly belonged to S. T. Howard.
The consideration for the twelve
head comprising the herd was
$3600. The Brand congratulates
Mr. Slaughter on his purchase, as
they will greatly augment the fine

Slaughter Hereford Home at Ros-
well.
