D. W. Dillon and family went to
Amarillo Saturday to attend the
marriage of Mr. Dillon's sister, Miss
Dora Dillon' to Frank Bassett.
C. E. McLean, one of Castro
county's prominent stock farmers,
was registered at the Hereford
Resturant the first of the week.
John Thorp of the " Tip " ranch
in Bailey county, who has been
visiting friends at Wichita Falls,
returned to Hereford on Monday.
J. £. Robertson, a prominent
cattleman of Endee, N. M., and a
valued subscriber to this paper, came
in Sunday evening and is registered
at the Hereford House.
Hon. H. H. Wallace, district
judge of this district, accompanied
by his wife, arrived on Monday's
train. The judge is holding the
regular April term of court here
this week.
Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Keliehor were
visitors in town Monday trading
with our merchants. Mr*. Keliehor
informs us that her son, Joe, who is
attending St. Edward's college at
Austin, on March 21, fell from a
swing and broke his collar bone, but
that he has sufficiently recovered to
enable him to resume his studies.
He writes that he receives Thk
Brand regulary and that a pensul
of it is like getting letters from
liome.

came in Wednesday from their North
Draw ranch after supplies.
L. R. Bradly, proprietor of the
famous Tierra Blanca herd of regis-
tered Herefords, was a business
caller in town Tuesday.
L. R. Bradly requests us to state
that any animals bought at the Can-
yon sale next Tuesday by parties
living in the vicinity of Hereford
can be shipped to Hereford free of
charge in his car. (

visit to his family at this place.
W. H. Fuqua, president of the
First National Bank of Amarillo,
was a visitor in town Wednesday.

Mrs. R. H. Norton, who has been
spending the past few weeks visiting
among friends at Quanah and other
points along the "Denver" road,
returned to her Hereford home on
Monday.

H. G. Tucker returned Tuesday
from a business trip to Canyon and
Amarillo, where he went in the
interests of the Tucker-Norton crude
oil burner. He reports that his trip
was very successful, and that he re-
ceived much encouragement for the
ultimate sucbess oí his invention.
They guarantee their burner to con-
sume all the sediment substance con-
tained in the oil and to cause less
smoke and soot than any other
burner on the market.
