Rodeo
The Rodeo club held its weekly
meeting March 2. It was decided
that the meeting time would be
changed to Mondays at 7:30.
The club voted to have a barrel
race and team roping March 19 if
cattle arrangements can be made.
Also the club voted to have a
disco dance in the cave Thursday
at 9 p.m.
Advertisements, buckles, and
team trophy committees were set
up from the upcoming rodeo to
be held May 4-6,
After the meeting Drexal West
showed films from the Texas Tech
and Sul Ross rodeos;
ROTC
"Cadets of the Week" for the
month of February, were Cadet
PVT Billy Pennington, for the
week of Feb. 13 and Cadet
Sergeant First C Class Steve
Kaneaster.

Speech Bureau
Speech Bureau will meet
tonight at 6 in the Green Room.
Business will include the Lone
Star Conference Forensic
Tournament to be held April 14
and 15 in San Angelo, The
possibility of presenting a news
program on the local cable TV
station will also be discussed.
Anyone interested in these
need to attend the meeting.
Chemistry
The Chemistry Club will have
their next meeting March 22. Dr.
Ed Dorsey, New Product
Research Manager at Alcoh
Laboratories in Ft. Worth Texas,
will be speaking on "The Role of
Analytical Chemistry in the
Pharmaceutical Industry."
DST
DST social club held its first
annual spades tournament JVlarch
1 at the home of Janice Allen and
Beth Lehmann.
A trophy, donated by Los
Cobbs social club, was awarded to
the winning team of Shelia Dove
and Serf (Jenny) Hanawalt. The
runners up were Janah Williams •
. and Janet Helton.
The tournament consisted of
eight teams. Rules governing the
tournament were no passing of
cards. Game was 500 points.
7 XPO
APO members attended their
sectional conference last weekend
in Dallas. Those attending
included Gayle Bullock, Danny
i Carter, Gary Causey, Jimmy
Cross, Matt Lynch, David Myers,
Mark Ranft,, Dale Swindle, and
Scott Thomas.
Topics of the conference were
membership recruiting, national
and local service projects, and
leadership development.
The regular meeting of APO
will be at 5:15 p.m. in the student
center Conference Room F
tonight. The executive meeting
will pjeceed at 5 p.m.
All members are urged to
attend.
