will facilitate campus shopping at the new loca-
tion.
COLLEGE STORE
OPENS DOORS
AT NEW SITE
The College Store opened busi-
ness yesterday in its new loca-
tion in the Tarleton Center. The
Center opened its doors to the stu-
dent body at the beginning of this
semester, but the store location
" was not completed at that time.
According to Mr. George Cook,
nianager of the store, students
will be welcome to come and
browse tfrrpugh the new site. He
said, "Moving has been an ex-
hausting job, but we are very
proud to be able to open the new
College Store to the students. We
encourage everyone to offer their
opinions and criticisms to us, so
that the new store can be manag-
ed to the best advantage of Tar-
leton."
The store will contain a great
deal of new merchandise, as well
as many articles which haven't
been on display in the smaller
building.
Aggies Continue To
Argue About Coeds
In the last issue of the J-TAC,
the problem of whether or not Ag-
gie Coeds should be allowed to
wear class rings was mentioned.
Well, the problem is still unsettled
as yet, but some progress is being-
made.
The progress is in the form of a
class ring with a now design, rath-
er than the classic Aggie design.
However, the new ring is only a
proposal and hasn't been accepted.
Another matter involved in the
controversy is Silver Taps. The
question is whether or not to play
Silver Taps for coeds. There are
the usual pro and con arguments,
but there is no settlement of the
problem in sight, so don't hold
your breath,

similar to a leprechaun, that runs
around in the mountains of Nor-
way. Your chances of seeing- a
Troll are slim, unless you visit the
TCU campus. These little crea-
tures have descended en masse in
the form of "Dammit Dolls", a re-
placement for rabbit feet and
horseshoes.
The superstitious students say
that the Dammit Dolls are the
"best yet" in tho way of good luck
charms. The dolls are 3 to 5 inches
tall and fairly repulsive looking,
which could explain their purpose:
they're so ugly that they just
plain scare off bad luck. Thank
goodness good luck isn't also re-
pulsed by these creatures! Or is
it?
Many TCU students will soon be
Mexico bound. The trip to Mexico
is to be made during the first half
of spring vacation.
Transportation will be by char-
tered Greyhound buses, which
leave the TCU student center at
C p.m. March 20.
There are many activities plan-
ned, and the students making the
trip will have maximum freedom.
