New Parking On
Levee Approved
A return to parallel parking on
Levee street has proved entirely 1
satisfactory and has brought forth
comments of approval from a
number of merchants on the
street according to Ben Freuden-
stein city manager.
Mr. Freudenstein explained that
the city decided to give up angle
parking on Levee street after the
new system of one-way travel per-1
mining parking on both sides of
the cross streets in the business
section was adopted.
“Permitting parking on both
Eides of Tenth. Eleventh. Twelfth
and Thirteentd streets has relieved
the parking situation considerably"
he said. “And since we have had
many complaints about the angle
parking on Levee street largely
because it created a serious traffic
hazzard. we decided to return to
parallel parking there."
