Oa March' 31, , at the Baptist
Church Auditorium, Miss Evelyn
Flinty, Soprano, with Mr. Gar-
uett Froh at the piano, entertained
the Tarleton Students for the even-
ing. Mr. Schoffelmayer of the
Dallas ^ews made . an interesting
short M^e^ jipon .!'M6re Cotton on
Fewer, Acres." This program was
-esp^aingly good, . _ . „,, . ,
Studmts, the John Tarletbri En-
tertainment course t is for you.
Every number is well worth yout
walk dowii to the church, or even
a ride on a crowded bus. We
should attend the Lyceums because
they are entertainments worth while.
CEDARS CHATTER
We. have ; been requested, to write
our stuff for this week. Can you
heat that? Requested! So here we
are 100 per cent.
Speaking of 100" per cent's, we
were that way in "vivvies" Sunday,
not that way on quizzes, and abso-
lutely that, way on the fact that "we
want to go home!"
Dusty being a senior, We oughn't
to write him up here, but we've got
a gool one on him. Ssh! It's a
i deep, dark secret; aiid it's not to be
known. Of. recent weeks he has con-
tracted a very serious arid violent
case of "leaping dandruff," the
new and dreaded disease. However,
the doctor holds out hopes for his
recovery shortly.
FORT FROLICS
Notice! After all our signs and
warnings of this being strictly a
bachelor's quarters, last Wednesday
night a "blue chambray" ap-
peared in the hall of our; dormi-
J tory, but alas it was recognized
from behind doors, and various hid-
> ihg places, as being1 (Miss) Louis
Harbison.
"Tubby" Brown wants to know
if it is too late to get his name on
the ticket? If not, he wishes to
enter the race for student yell lea-
der, Experience—Two mornings in
chapel.
"These are rather basic jokes,"
:said the colonel, as he was getting
hack in bed about two o'clock
after a walk oyer to the conserva-
tory to answer a fake telephone
'Call.
TOWN TOPICS
. Since we have paused, and since
we have not heard the tunes of that
famou^ old-time wedding march
•commonly known to most peor
pie as "Jiist Before The Battle
"Mother," we venture forth again
into the fields of literary events.
Some of tlie town girls are rather
good ; it impersonation-—at least,
Miss Liilard seems to think so!!
Did ye WoHfiy Scribe tell you
about that pair of "delicious" new
hosiery that Mary Dean Yeager
purchased? We thought we would
just keep it quiet, but since the
town, boys insist on telling you
each article in detail; that they add
to their already extensive wardrobe,
we thought a failure to ^mention
these luxurious articles, so dear to
the tends* ht.-it^s of or; oppni.tes,
would be a breach of etiquette.
And Lucille has a new hair brush.
I scarcely know how. to describe it,
r—it, is really a tooth bru^h, hair
brush, clothes; brush, and shoe
hru&E conibined—its very exquisite.
Perhaps she'll give you a peep. at
it if yoii so desire to cast. youir
shining orbs,;upon it,. Just, ask hef
for the privilege, and surely she'll
not have the heart to refuse you!!
v Before you throw your paper
down 'in disgust, tear yoiid hajr,
Of inipafiehtly begih pacing the
floor back and forth, and forth artd
back again, let me insist that next
week following ' the Opening of
Spring, when the grass .grew, flow-
ers bloomed and sap. bubbled in the
trees, we to .desbriBe you in

JUNIORS
Now sometimes we've heard it said
By folks of note who've talked and
read,
That, "As concerns the classes here
In Tarleton (the one most dear)'
The one that lacks the pep and jazz,
The "Just plain dumbs;" the one
that has
The clabberheads of all the bunch—"
This person says he has a hunch
It is the Juniors.'
We think no class residing here
Deserves more praise, merits more
cheer , ,
For faming Tarleton in the state,
Making her reputation great,.
We've never let her colors fall;
We answer to every beck and call—
We Juniors
There never was a finer group
Of boys and girls who would not
stoop
To little things to gain an end.
Juniors are the "Old go-Getters."
A happy, jolly bunch are we,
And just as true as true can be
To Tarleton—We Juniors.
MY CHEMISTRY
When I get up early
Sometimes 'twen two and four
And study hard on Chemistry
And try to learn some more.
When I get to Chemistry class
And wallow in the gore
Of qum I take and flunk
Quoth' I, "Nevermore!"
When I have a perfect lesson,
There's when I get sore:
For I am never called upon,
And thus it is, "for ever more."
And when the Great Maker
Goes to check up my score,
He'll say, you'll study from Chem-
istry—
No, no, nevermore!"
JOKES
Fats: "Wha'da' ya doin tonight?"

Didja ever plan all day before-
the first day of April some good-
jokes to pull on some of your-
fellow class mates and set up-
until after twelve' so that you-
would be the early bird. then-

you that a Prof's baby was ill—
