HELEN CRUM
President Senior Class, Glee Club, Comitia Romanorum
Helen or Nell is a friendly, lovable, and jolly blonde. She
is a piano player from head to foot and is the chief musician of
the class as well as the High School. Where ever any music is
wanted Nell is always called upon to perform. She lost her heart
while a Junior to a Senior and has not recovered it yet. She is
liked by everyone in the High School as well as the community.
She is an excellent worker and never tires of her work. She will
make a fine addition to the Young Women's Seminary at San An-
tonio, where she enters next fall.
HERMAN IP. BOS
Barbarossa Club, Choral Club, Editor-in-Chief of Seagull.
Herman is the very best looking boy in our class. He is
not only precise in his personal appearance but is also very methodi-
cal in all his school work. It was with the best of judgment that
the class elected him Editor-in-Chief of the SEAGULL. He has
made the SEAGULL the best that the Port Arthur High School has
ever yet produced. "Dutchy's'' two most important specialties are
the girls and mechanical drawing. If his ambitions are realized, he
will some day soon be a great architect. The Christian Church
seems to attract '"Dutchy'' not so much on account of what he
may believe, as because of the girls that attend there.
EDITH IHOLLIFIELI)
Glee Club, Comitia Romanorum.
Edith or "Ditha" is one of the few in the class who are
Latin "sharks." She is planning to take her Ph. D. degree in that
subject, and there is no doubt that she will see it through. She
is quiet, as long as you don't bother her, studious and succeeds in
making the teachers only believe that she would never enter into
a prank. It may be her blushes that make them think she is so
very timid, but anyway, they just think it.
