intoxicating liquors Saturday re-
solved to start immediately a state
aide drive against the use of alcohol.
The resolution presented at the
B T. U. state convention by J.
Earl Mead cl Dallas head of the
Eaptist Temperance Ycu.h Coun-
cil described drunkenness as ‘‘the
greatest destructive and demoraliz-
ing force in the nation promoting
lawlessness dlshone ty. corruption
debauchery and se’ fishness. and
knowing no master but the God
greed.”
A program for a crusade against
liquor among Baptist youths in the
state as well as other youths was
adopted by the 10000 Baptists at
