ivory ball room and in the dining
and reception rooms and wefe effec-
tively decorated with flat baskets of
California holly and crimson and
white carnations. Dinner favors were
becoming garden hats of crepe paper
for the maids and matrons and caps
for the men. varying from a Turkish
zee to automobile cap.
On the walls of the clubhouse from
the cellins and columns were gar-
lands of Christmas greens each bear-
ing bows of green or crimson.
More than two hundred guests were
seated at the dinner and after the
serving hours the tables were taken r

zation of its kind in El Paso whose
efforts were lurgerly responsible for
the big success of the club's 34th an-
nual dance and dinner Wednesday
evening in the Toltec club.

ever held the position of president of
the club for three times. He is at
present president of the Toltec clubi
also and has been president of thel
El Paso Country club and of the
West Tsleta Country club.

The club rooms were filled with
guests and the tables for the dinner
served at 12 odock were prettily ap-
pointed. Christinas trees with camou
flage snow were utilised In numbers
as decoration and were most effective.
The dinner favors were caps of all
uescriptlen and the dining hoar was
most informal and happy.
The musical program given at this
time was very enjoyable. A groap
of singers from one of the theatres
sung a number of selections. Hawa-
iian singers were present and sang
and a Marimba band added farther
to tho program.
Noise makers including horns and
rattlers were given as favors and
mads tho welkin ring when the New
Tsar was ushered in.
