Wichita soil and water conser-
vation districts to become mem-
bers of the Four Winds to also
have their gullied areas ad-
jacent to county roads and on
private land treated.
Mayor Fletcher said he would
contact some of the directors in
other counties to determine
their thoughts on effect the two
new members would have on
availability of funds for the four
charter member counties of
Childress, Cottle, Foard and
Hardeman, on whose behalf the
organization became opera-
tional in January 1974.
A suggestion was made that
the fund-raising should be a
community-wide project even if
the Lions agree to assume
leadership.
Councilmen said that the op-
inion of Cottle County Judge
Vana Tobias and W.Q. Rich-
ards, zone director of Cottle
County Soil and Water Conser-
vation District, who represent
Paducah and Cottle County on
the Four Winds Resource Con-
servation and Development
board, be ascertained before
further consideration is given to

Mr. Shavor died about 2:30 p.m.
Monday at Richards Memorial
Hospital following a sudden illness.
Mr. Shavor was born Nov. 29,
1908 in Van Zandt county and
his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs.
Benjamin O. Shavor. He married Bragg, director of Dunbar Acti-

Chalk area until they moved to
Paducah in 1973. He was a member
of the Chalk Baptist Church and was .
a retired farmer.

Burial was in Garden of Memo-
ries Cemetery under the direction
of Seigler Funeral Home.
Manley, a native of Jack County,
died Wednesday in the Veterans
Administration Hospital in Dallas
after a brief illness. He came to
Cottle and King counties in 1939.
He was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include three sons,
Ronnie of Knox City, Wendall of
Snyder and Wesley of Guthrie; a
daughter, Connie Manley of Padu-
cah; three brothers, Leonard of
Dallas, James of Ennis and Douglas
of Paducah; three sisters, Erma
Hensley of Guthrie, Joyce Leslie of
