and the Hooker, Oklahoma,
high school team from Hooker.
Roth teams have 4-1 records
for the season so far, Memphis
losing only to Childress, and the
Hooker club losing only to
Sunday of Texas District 1 A.
Contract for the game here
was signed months ago as the
two teams sought neutral
ground and selected Canadian's

students, and will be collected
at the gate, with no advance
sale.
There will be no reserved
seats for this game, and holders
of reserved seat season tickets
for Wildcat home game will
have no special privileges for
this one. Game time will be 8
o'clock.
Hunter Safety
course slated
in November
A !! unter Safety ("ourse w ill

part of October ami first of

everyone, l'J years ot ai'e and
older. This also includes any
adults w ho want to take the
course. The date for this course
is not definite, but will probably
he held on October MO,
Saturday afternoon, and con
tinue on Monday and maybe
Tuesday evening.
It is an in dept h safety
instruction which includes
conservation and wilderness
survival. Total length of time
for instruction will he seven to
tight hours.
The cost of the course is $1.00
for the workbooks and
material. You will not need to
bring anything hut a pencil and
your $1.00. In order to know
how many student manuals w ill
be needed, pre registration is
required. In addition to the
training in Hunter Safety and
Conservation you may receive a
certificate, showing that you
completed and passed the
course. Many states require
this certificate before issuing
hunting licenses. Texas may. in
the near future, require it also.
If you are interested, come
by the Extension office or call

A four count y 111 Horse
Show sponsored by the
Hemphill County 1 II Riding
club will he held Sunday
afternoon starting at '2. o'clock
at the ( anadian Rodeo grounds.
Participating will he young
people from I II Horse Projects
in Lipscomb, Roberts, Wheeler
and Hemphill Counties.
