Nothing less than a dollar is counted in the contest. Ask for
coupons when trading with them and help some deserving girl win

1. Announcement.—This piano contest will be conducted on
strictly honest and business principles, with perfect justice to ail
concerned. Under such conditions a piano contest is sure to prove
a success.
2. Prizes.—The first prize shall be a fine first.class piano of a
leading make valued at $4o0. Many other valuable prizes, some to
be announced later, will be given in their order, according to v due.
3. Candidates.—Any yonng lady in this vicinity is eligible to
a place in the contest. Tne most popular young lady is tne one
who shall receive the most votes. To her shall be awarded the

4. Glasses of Votes.—The votes are issued in coupons of the

5. General Instructions.—Results ot voting will be pub- j
lished regularly.
Votes will not be allowed on subscriptions less than regular
price, and cash must accompany coupon

Votes none cast cannot be transferred to another.
The publishers are not to tell whom anyone votes for, except in I
case f a leged eiror or\irregularity.
Each contestant is required to send as soon as possible a cabt-;
net size photo for publication.
Make up your mind whom you want to vote for before coming
to this office, as the editor positively will not decide the matter.
The result of the voting will be announced weekly. Coupons i
and votes must reach this office not later than Wednesday noon of 1
each week to be counted for current week.
Keep a list of votes turned in each week and see that the pub-;
iishers’ figures verify it.
Ail coupons and votes are at once deposited in a locked ballot j
box. The key to ballot box shall bt it: possession of the atvarding:
committee dosing the contest.
An awarding committee of three of the best business men
to be appointed to make final count and disposition of prizes.
Free votes will be published in paper first sixty days of contest.
