was found Sunday evening the
victim of apparent self asjihyxi

Deaf Smith County Justice of
the Peace Bill Rowland stated
that Rarclay's body, which was
found by his 18-year-old son Do-
nnie Sunday afternoon about 5
p m in the garage at the fam
ily home had been there for
several days A hose had been
run from the engine exhaust in-
to the cab of the pickup causing
death by carbon monoxide poi
soning
Rowland said that from inves-
tigation. the local sheriff's off
ice had learned that Barclay-
had been dispondent for several
days pnor to his death over
personal matters
Barclay's body was taken to
Amanllo for an autopsy
Barclay had been a resident
of Vega for about 22 years and
was veteran of World War II
His survivors include his sons.
