means that we need $6 million
dollars to do the job once.
I want to give you my solemn
word that I will do my very best
to produce the finest materials
possible for the STAR. Our
materials will strive to present
the Lord’s church to the people
of America in the best possible
light to teach them the gospel
and urge them to obey it.

task in no more than three
years, hopefully sooner. Of
course, no one congregation can
do such a large job alone. The
goal will be reached only if
likeminded brethren lend a
helping hand.
For 10c we can print and mail
a STAR into a home anywhere
in America. Sixty million homes

thousands of Christians who will
give $5 per month until we have
finished our task. Will you take
the responsibility to discuss this
challenge with your congrega-
tion and then let us hear the
results immediately? My family
and I have made a commitment
to help financially and so has
the Karns church where I
preach.
We cannot predict how many
souls will share heaven with us
because of our efforts, but
surely there will be thousands.
Write the elders of the Dallas
Metro congregation today and
let them know your commitment
so we can get on with the job.
Pray with me that God will
bless this work to his honor and
glory and to the salvation of
many souls.

Great and the Commands of Christ Are Being Carried Out. Pray Fervently for this Effort.
by John Waddy
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.:-I am
excited! The Lord has “set
before me an open door” of such
magnitude that I must tell you
about it.
The elders of the Dallas Metro
church have asked me to edit
the STAR gospel magazine for
them which they plan to send
into every one of the 60 million
homes of America. Their goal is
to accomplish this momentous outreach will be under the
supervision of the Metro elders.
All funds will be received and
administered by them.
Can you help us to preach the
gospel to every American? We
desperately need congregations
who will commit themselves to
give $100 or more per month to
this work for the next three
years. In addition, we need
president of Harding, called
Collins “the most deserving man
we could honor” and said the
educator was chosen as “a great
servant of the Lord.” Mrs.

Collins addressed the 104 grad-
uates on “Challenges for 1978
and Beyond” in which he
charged the seniors to keep
sacred things sacred. “Almighty
God has revealed to us sacred
things,” he said, “and too many
people are changing them to
profane and common things.”
He used Matthew 19 in citing six
avenues of Christ-given prin-
ciples for a nation’s strength.
