Those who say, “I can’t” or
“We can’t” are really just
advertising their lack of faith,
imagination, and commitment
to the task.

The highlight of the entire
month was a trip which Mary
Lee, our second oldest
daughter, and I made to Mos-
cow, Russia from the 26th -
29th of March. During the
winter months such trips are
offered and are some 70 per-
cent cheaper than at other
times. We traveled with 28
others from different parts of
Austria and had a wonderful
trip. We were able to meet
with two members of the
church shortly after our arrival
and made arrangements to
break bread with them on
Sunday. When we met them
Sunday, we were surprised that
they had a young man with
them, who they had been
teaching. After talking with
them I found out that he
wanted to be baptized. We all
went to an outdoor heated
swimming pool, where I baptiz-
ed him. There were hundreds
in this large pool and so it was
easy to baptize him without
being noticed. This young man
is 20 years old and his father
has been in prison for 13 years
due to his religious convictions.
After the baptism we took them
to a restaurant to celebrate this
young man’s hew birth. Later
we went to the home of a noted
Russian writer, who recently
won the Nobel Peace Prize. He
knew the father of a young
man, who was baptized, and
asked about his condition. The
man in prison is supposed to
get his freedom on the 21st of
this month. Please pray that he
will! After this visit we went to
the home of the two members
and had a wonderful service
together along with the young
convert. We sang several songs,
did some teaching and then
partook of the Lord’s Supper.
The service lasted until after
midnight and so Mary Lee and
I were very late in getting
back to our hotel. When we
returned to Austria we could
not but help to thank God for
the beautiful experiences we
had on this trip.
