of the book of Revelation about
the seven churches in Asia, and
you will find that a falling
away took place. The people
were moving from the things of
God. The writer encouraged
them to return to their first
love. These people were en-
couraged to quit being luke-
warm. They were indifferent
and were completely unaccept-
able to God.” (Romans 10:17).
Does that sound too simple?
Not at all! THIS IS THE
ESSENTIAL TRUTH!
Do we lack enough FAITH to
tackle the things tht we wish to
do? Is it because we are not
familiar ENOUGH with the
BIBLE? I really believe that is
true! When we know this truth
and believe it and practice it,
amazing will be the harvest!
Just before I arise each day,
I enjoy a quiet devotional time
with God. I like to just relax
and to have a time of prayer.
It is a wonderful way to begin
the day. I ask God to help me
and strengthen me — to be
with me and guide me through
the day.

ARTICLE THREE
by Dryden Sinclair
“Not boasting of those things
without measure, that is, of
other men’s labours, but having
hope, when your faith is in-
creased, that we shall be en-
larged by you according to our
rule abundantly.” (II Corin-
thians 10:15). “And God is able
to make all grace abound
toward you, that ye, always
having all sufficiency in all
things, may abound to every
good work.” (II Corinthians
9:8). There is not one single
thing God wants us to do that
He is not able and willing to
help us do. IF GOD’S WORK
DOES NOT GET DONE, IT IS
BECAUSE WE WERE NOT
ABLE, THROUGH OUR LACK
OF FAITH AND INTEREST
AND ACTION!
A song writer once penned,
“Change and decay in all
around I see, O Thou that
changes not, abide with me.”
GOD IS THE UNCHANGING
ONE! In the first century the
people in the then known world
heard and obeyed the gospel,
and congregations were started.
Read in the first three chapters
by John W. Beckloff
The Jews of Paul’s day never quite attained
righteousness as they sought it by works of the law and
not by faith. (Rom. 9:30-32). They could not visualize
that the Gentiles by faith could attain this righteousness.
The Jewish members even wanted the Gentiles to keep
part of the law, circumcision, in order to be saved.
These “religious people’’ had even found “legal’’ ways
to refuse to help needy parents through the law. (Mark
7:6-13).
If one permits himself to meditate on these thoughts,
the message comes with force even to us. We have
delineated the difference between ourselves and the
multitude of sects in our society. We have fought the
battles to keep ourselves non-denominational.
We have fought hard to be free of non-biblical church
organization, instrumental music, tongue speaking
charismatics, titled and robed clergy, premillinnealism,
predestination, liberalism, etc. We must make diligent
use of its Sword of the Spirit continuously to keep the
church free from such false doctrines.
But these distinctive differences do not make us attain
righteousness. Here is the place the Pharisees missed
the point. We become the children of God by receiving
His Son and believing in His name. (John 1:12). We are
justified by faith. (Rom. 5:1). This in no wise minimizes
repentance, confession, baptism, or any other first or
basic principle.
The implications are that we refuse to sing religious
songs with instrumental accompaniment; but so steep
ourselves in worldly materialism that we literally have no
time or funds to do anything significant in the world for
Christ. We produce men who claim to be preachers of
the Gospel who utter niceties from cushioned pulpits,
shun world missions, and are
winners. We raise our children in the church and
educate them for careers only to see them caught up in
modern materialism and liberal morals.
If the church is to be saved and future generations
have the church; we must maintain that distinctive
difference; and as well give equal time to faith building
teaching. If strong evangelists, and those to send them,
are to be found among us; we must tell them about
Jesus Christ and make them very familiar with the
scriptures from the cradle up. When we have strong
faith in Jesus Christ; love, joy, peace, steadfastness,
kindness, goodness, meekness, self-control, faithfulness,
humility, mercy, purity and righteousness will be seen in
every part of our lives.
