was held Wednesday evening. De-
cember 15th, in the home of C. E.
Akridga.
The room was decorated with

further emphasizing the peace

evening with a lovely Christmas
I party at the home of Mrs. Evans,

Mr::. Lace, program chairman,
presented a lovely pageant. "Fa-
mous women of the Bible," which
she had both written and direct-
ed. The attractively arched door-
way furnished a very appropriate
setting, as each character attrac-
tively costumed, according to the
period in which she lived, appear-
ed and told her own life story, as
a spot light was focused upon
her. Characters depicted, and
those portraying them, were: Re-
bekah, Mrs. C. F. Hagler; Rach-
acl, Mrs. E. Hightower: Hannah,
Mrs. II. Alexander; Esther, Mrs.
C. M. Bender who wore a nat've
costume from Palestine; Mary,
