ing the Air Force. He received his
BA degree from North Texas State
College in May of this year.

Meeting, Party
Girl Scout Troop 11 met Dee. 11
and Dec. 18 in the Episcopal Par-
ish House. At the first meeting
the girls drew names for the
Christmas party and then worked
on Christmas presents.
The 'following week the Christ-
mas party was held. Nibbles of
cookies and punch were seijved.
The meeting closed with the wish-
ing circle and taps.

HANANA CREAM CAKE
21 | cup sifted flour cu|) soft shortening
1 ' | cup gran.- sugar "1 med. eggs, unbeaten
teaspoon halving powder 11 ^ cups well mashed ripe
1 •> teaspoon soda bananas
1 ■> teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
METHOD: Preheat oven to :.>7~> degrees; grease and line
I pans with wax paper; sift together first five ingredients in
• 'arge mixing howl, drop in shortening:. eggs, and 1 -j cup
ibananas, then with a mixer on low speed beat two minutes',
;idd remaining one cup harianas and vanilla, then beat one
I minute longer at same speed.
Pour into cake pans and bake 25 minutes or until done.
. Pecans mav be added if desired.
BROWN P.CTTKR ICING
Put into pan: I stick margarine, 1 | cup milk, I 1cup
brown sugar, cook a short time. Add 2 cups sifted con:',
sugar, vanilla. Sprinkle iced cake with chopped pecans.
