College will host a “Growth Through
Groups” seminar, a program designed to
help churches grow by meeting the needs of
members and the unchurched through small
groups. The seminar provides practical in-
formation on how to start small groups, as
well as group dynamics. Participants will re-
ceive a notebook containing information on
beginning and managing small groups. John
Ellas, director of the Center for Church
Growth, Houston, will be the seminar lead-
er. Ellas performs full-time consulting for
churches and is an adjunct professor at
Harding Graduate School of Religion.

Bus Ministry Workshop
SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The MacArthur
Park Church of Christ will be hosting its
first Bus Ministry Workshop. MacArthur
members believe bus ministries are becom-
ing stronger nationwide and are also an ef-
fective neighborhood outreach tool.
According to Bill Haywood, bus evangel-
ism director, “Buses have become a link to
our community by taking the church to fam-
ilies that otherwise would assume they’re
not wanted.” The theme for the worship will
be “Reaching Out To The Whole Family.”
The workshop includes training classes for
bus captains, bus teachers and bus drivers.

The 29th annual Asian Mission Forum will
take place here, in the Garden City of Asia.
This six-day event will feature Bible stud-
ies, singing, messages and devotionals. Also
scheduled is a special study and recreational
program for teenagers. The theme, “God Is

Ephesians, and will be the subject of each

June 28, after a lengthy
illness. Wise preached
for 61 years, occupying
pulpits in Memphis,
Tenn.; Atlanta; Abilene,

Tenn. He was a well-
known writer and speak-
er who had conducted
the institute, is based at the evangelistic meetings in 27 states.

Madison Street congregation, Clarksville,
