conducted at the Fairfax Church of Christ.
Have Freedom Now. Christ Made Us Free” will
be the theme for this year’s event.
The 1989 workshop is being sponsored by the
churches of Christ in Fairfax and Silver Spring,
Md. Both congregations are in suburban
Washington, D.C., and both have active deaf
ministries.
The workshop program will include Bible
classes, a gospel meeting, a mini workshop
for elders, a full interpreter’s workshop and
presentations on deaf culture by Simon
Carmel.
Other speakers will include Billy Leavell,
Loyd Williams, Danny McCain, Roy Price, Ted
Thomas, BiH Adams and Leander Moore. Also
speaking will be Mike Atteberry, Clayton
McCray, Frank Rushing, L. Redelsperger and
■ferry Heidecker.
A children’s program, panel discussions, tours
of Washington, D.C., and interpreted tour of
Gallaudet University also are scheduled.

skills, selfesteem enhancement, communica
tion, career planning, relationship building,
stress management and Scripture studies.
