of Krum, are pleased to
announce their engagement.
Miss Watson is the
daughter of Geary and
Margaret Watson of Sanger.
She is a nursing student at
North Central Texas College
(NCTC) in Lewisville and is
I
a 1994 graduate of Sanger
High School.
The prospective groom is
the son of Rick and Belinda
Johnson of Krum. He is ad994
graduate of Krum High
School and is employed as a
paramedic for CareFlight in
“Dallas.
The couple plans to be wed
Feb. 14, 1998, at First Baptist
Church of Krum.
Just a few
months ago the
little fellow in
the picture
beside Santa
was a young
pup. He was
sure that Santa
would bring him all of his
holiday wishes.
Like all youngsters he
was dazzled by the man in the
red suit and white beard.
When he awoke in his bed
- you know, the one he lets his
people share - there were all
the gifts he had asked for
waiting under the tree.
Cleveland, the might
Rottweiler pictured beside the
Christmas tree this year, is 17
months old and looks very
worried. He knows the tree is
up and decorated, but he was
just too big to sit on Santa’s'
knee and whisper secret
holiday wants.
Christmas

is about
surprises, so
here he is under the tree
hoping for that special beef-
coated rawhide bone and the
sophisticated red sweater for
cold weather wear. He has a
lot of faith and surely Santa
won’t forget about an anxious
Rottweiler who has been very,
very good all year long. We
are sure the Santa cat will put ’
in a good word for him.
One of the surprises in my
life this year is being in a new
veterinary hospital. 1 hadn’t
thought my life was in for so
much change, but I’m seeing a
lot of familiar faces, and I am
still meeting many new ones.
Kibbles, an old acquaintance
i who is of the Rottweiler
persuasion, came in for her
vaccinations and was, as
usual, one of the most loving
tel cJ
animals 1 have ever seen.
Anyone who thinks all rottys
are scary haven’t
Cleveland or Kibbles.
I am so lucky to work with 9
some of the warmest people a
and the neatest animals
anywhere. Our community is | '
a friendly and open place \
where laughter flows easily A
and genuine concern for j
others exist. Thank you for 1
all the many acts of kindness £
you have shown to me.
May Christmas and the
celebration of Christ’s birth .
once more bring hope and joy
into your life. Merry
Christmas to all those little*
miracles who have paws and
warm noses and who lighten
our lives each day.
