Helena White
Cordelia's MotherCordelia Lagail White was born on December 1, 1970, in Chicago,
Illinois to John T. and Helena G. White.
At an early age, her family moved to San Antonio. She graduated
Salutatorian from Southwest High School in 1989 and Cum Laude
from the University of Texas in 2009 with a degree in Criminal
Justice. Her ultimate goal was to attend Law School and become an
Attorney. Her greatest accomplishments were the birth of her
children, receiving her bachelor's degree, and the purchase of her
first home 2 years ago.
Professionally, Corky worked as a Laboratory Technician for
Southwest Research Institute until she passed away on April 27,
2010. She was a member of Northminister Presbyterian Church
where she regularly attended Church services. Her greatest passion
was her children and their extracurricular activities. She was involved
in YMCA Basketball and CYO Baseball where she often doubled as
an "Adjunct Coach". Her civic activities included volunteering at
the Bexar County Women's Correctional Facility where she would
often counsel the women incarcerated. At Christmas, she
participated in providing gifts to kids whose parents were serving
terms in jail. She had a contagious sense of humor and was always
up for a good joke.
Corky leaves to mourn her passing, her parents, Helena G. White,
and John T. White, four (4) children; Quisiah Deese, Donald E.
Deese, Jr., Michael J. Deese, and Isaiah M. White; one (1) brother,
John T. White, and two (2) sisters, Christine R. White, and
Angelina L. Townsend. She will also be sadly missed by her niece
Sharde White, Nephew, Kadeem White, Great Nephews, Amiere
and Aydaien Steward, the Deese Family, and a host of relatives and
friends.Scripture and Prayer

Eulogy
Recessional
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me
a crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the righteous judge, shall give me at that day;
and not to me only, but also unto all that
love his appearing. Timothy 4:7-8Pastor Kevin Dancy
