Order of Worship Service
Odessa L. Anderson Wilson was born on December 17, 1898 to
Henry and Isabella Anderson, in Sealy, Texas, where she spent
her early childhood. She was baptized at an early age.
Later, her parents moved to Waco, Texas. After relocating to
Waco, Texas, with a sixth grade education, on September 22,
1918, she married the most handsome man (Elder Rufus
Wilson). In 1922 the young family moved to San Antonio,
Texas and to this union, six children were born. Her husband,
Rufus Wilson; three children, Kirjathe ("Bubba "), Vivian
(" viv") and Millie Jean preceded her in death.
She had resided on the east side of San Antonio since her
arrival in the city and lived at her residence since 1941. She
was a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, Missionary
Worker, City Wide Mission Member and the Ministers and
Deacons Wives Council. She also attended Wednesday Night
Prayer Meeting and Bible Study, Worship Service on Sunday's
and some musicals if she could get out of the house.
She leaves a legacy for her entire family offive generations.
She leaves to mourn a loving sister, Servelar Garnett; a devoted
daughter, Saleta "Lil" Rogers; loving sons, R. C. ("Jack")
Wilson (Lorece) and Rueben Lloyd Wilson (Lucille); sixteen
grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; fourteen great-
great grandchildren; numerous foster children and extended
