DEATH OF A DAD
THE DEATH OF A DAD IS HARD YOU SEE
AND IT SEEMS UNFAIR, THAT HE'S LEFT BEHIND FAMILY
IT'S NOT JUST FACT, BUT A REALITY
DEATH'S THE PATH AT THE END OF LIFES JOURNEY
PEOPLE SAY, "IT WAS BETTER THIS WAY
DID YOU WANT BOBBY TO SUFFER DAY AFTER DAY"
THEY FEEL IT SHOULD BE EASIER TO BEAR
WHICH DOESN'T MEAN WE OUGHT NOT CARE
SUCH A PRANKSTER, AND STILL SO SINCERE
LIVED LIFE TO THE FULLEST WITHOUT A CARE
ABOVE THE SICKNESS AND SORROW, HIS LOVE HE'D SHARE
AND THE WAY HE DID IT, ALWAYS ADDING HIS OWN FLARE
THOUGHT OF HIS FAMILY WITH LOVE NOT SORROW
ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN CHRIST LET HIM BORROW
KIND TO ALL HE MET, MADE YOU FEEL LIKE ONE OF HIS OWN
HE'S ALREADY MISSED AND HE'S SPARSELY BEEN GONE
LOVED THE BLACK AND SILVER TEAM, SHO' 'NUFF
UNCUT TALENT, LIKE A DIAMOND IN THE RUFF
A JACK OF ALL TRADES, YOU MIGHT SAY
COULDN'T BEAT HIM WHEN HE WAS THE DJ
FAMILY I PRAY THAT IN TIMES OF YOUR DEEPEST DESPAIR
WHEN YOU THINK YOU'RE ALONE, AND NO ONE'S NEAR
YOU'LL TRUST IN THE ALMIGHTY, WHO'LL BE THERE TO SHARE
THE DEATH OF A DAD, WHO QUALITIES WERE RARE
