Merit, Texas

Lela Mae says little, but thinks a lot. She has
spent thiee years at C. I. A. trying to solve the
problems of the Household Arts course. and in hei
Senior year has specialized in diatetics and seeing.
LILLA L. PEARCE, C. A.
Thornton, Texas
Secretary Students' Council 1912-1913, Athletic Edi-
tor Daedalian Monthly,. Student Assistant. Press
Club, Assistant Editor-in-Chief Annual, 1912-
1 t 3; Editor-in-Chief Annual. 191. Entered
1911.
On first acquaintance, one is likely to think Lilla
of the angelic sort, but later this thought is turned
in the opposite direction. She is jolly and likes to
have a good time, but at the same time, is a good
student. We have found that this is a rare com-
bination.
When she thinks anything is right, she sticks to
it, as is shown by discussions with Mr. Williams in
History of Education. Her business ability was recog-
nized by the class when she was elected editor-in-
chief of the Annual, a task to which she has been
faithful. W\e shall always remember her by her keen
intellect and lovable -ways.
ANNIE LAURIE PICKENS, H. A.
Wallis, Texas
Y. V. C. A. Cabinet, M. E. B. Club, Chairman Stod-
dard Hall Board 1913-1914, Wallis Club, Ath-
letic Association. Entered 1911.
Annie Laurie comes from Wallis and a loyal stu-
dent she has been. Her loyalty even reaches so far
that she wears her "college cap to keep off the cool,
damp night air." She has been on the Executive
Board, but those who know her best have never fig-
ured out just hoxw she 'ot there.i; 2].
