Hamlin. The bride is the
granddaughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Bailey Clark of
Aspermont.
Parents of the bridegroom
are Mr. and Mrs. Pierre
Kendrick of Eastland and T.
E. Smith of Vicksburg, Miss.
The pastor, the Rev. C. G.
Grigg. officiated. Phil
Kendrick was organist.
Karen Goode of Houston
was maid of honor. Brides-
maids were Diane Byrd of

French designed scalloped
acetate nylon chantilace
ruffled gown featured a
sabrina neckline and a bow of
acetate peau.
Attendants' gowns of pink
and blue dotted swiss were
fashioned with sheer sleeves.
The reception was hosted
by the bride's parents in
Fellowship Hall.
After a wedding trip to
Sonora, the couple estab-
lished residence in Abilene at
520A Mulberry.

Mrs. Frank Underwood of

Rollins of Peacock, died at
Holiday Lodge nursing home
Saturday at 1 a.m.
Funeral was held at 4 p.m.
Monday in McCoy Chapel of
Memories in Hamlin under
the directi3n of McCoy
Funeral Home. Burial was
in Neinda Cemetery near
Hamlin.
Survivors are his wife, the
former Helen Graham, five
sons, four daughters, one
brother, six sisters and seven
grandchildren.
Grants totalling $7.2 mill-
ion have been approved for
improvement of law enforce-
ment and criminal justice.

community. The happy times
in their Christian home was
mentioned many times
among the 100 persons

Mrs. Carl W. Duncan was
in Stinnett on Thursday to
watch grandchildren Vickie
Sue and Ron Dodson play
their last baseball game of
the season, and to also wish
them and their brothers Ray
and Ross, a happy time as
they left for a vacation in
New Mexico and Colorado.

As we go into July, we are
hopeful this month will bring
some much needed showers.
The Old Glory Variety Club
met in the home of Kirs.
Travis Beil Tuesday, June 25.
Ten members were present
for the annual birthday party
and gift exchange.
Gub members voted to
have a party July 9, but the
exact time and place is to be
decided at a later date. The
next regular meeting is to be
in the home of Mrs. E. H.
Diers in September. The
Variety Gub members do not
have regular meetings
through July and August.
