Mrs. Herman Dugan hosted a
meeting for members of the Var-
iety Club at her home Tuesday,
November 23, at 2:00 p.m. She

Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Klump
and daughter, Mrs. Allen Letz
and her son, Steve Letz, spent
the holidays with the Klumps
youngest daughter, Mrs. Wesley
Tabb, Mr. Tabb and children at
Lake Jackson. Another daugh-
ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs.
Pete Elliott, of Arlington met
the Klump family at Lake Jack-
son for Thanksgiving.
Mr. and Mrs. B. R Johnson
and their son's family, the Rich-
ard Johnsons from Garden City
went to Wichita Falls to spend
Thanksgiving with the other son,
Major Glen T. Johnson, his wife
and children.
Geneva Derington and James
Leverett of Abilene were guests
in the V. R. Leverett home
Sunday and attended church
here Sunday night.
Mrs. Gardner of Wichita Falls
visited her son's family, the J. C.
Gholsons Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Spitzer
and son, Weldon, also Steve Letz
spent Thanksgiving holidays on a
deer hunt in Central Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Oran Brigham j
and son, Randall Lynn, of Tux-
edo visited Mr. and Mrs. Lynn
Flowers Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Klump ob-
served their Golden Wedding an-
niversary at their home south-
east of Old Glory.
Open^ house was held Sunday
afternoon, November 24.
The couple were married at
the home of her parents, the late
Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Dippel, who
lived on their farm north of Old
Glory. JUdge Arrington of As-'
permont performed the cere-
mony on Wednesday, Novem-
ber 20, 1913.
Mrs. Klump is the former Em-
ma Dippel who was born Oct.
10, 1892 in Wharton County and
came with her parents to Stone-
wall County in 1906.
Mr. Klump was born in June
1689 at New Ulm, in Austin Co.
His parents were the late Mr.
and Mrs. William Klump and
they camel to Stonewall County
in 1910.
When the couple married Mr.
Klump's parents~'moved to Old
Glory and their home on their
farm, southeast of Old Glory,
became the home of the young
couple. They have spent their
entire married life here. The old
farm home was torn down and
a new home was built in 1929,
where they now reside.
The couple has a son, Cecil,
who is married and they also
live on the farm near his par-
ents. Cecil has charge of the
farm since his father retired. Ce-
cil's wife is English teacher in
the Old Glory school.
