TO MY FRIENDS
AND
Customers
The fire Saturday night which destroy-
ed my property will amount to a loss of
more than fifteen thousand dollars with in-
surance to the amount of only two thousand
dollars practically the savings of a life-
time gone up in smoke.
I have resided here all my life and think
the best people on earth are in Stonewall
County. During all these years I have en-
joyed the friendship and patronage of these
people, and expect to rebuild and get bac>
into business as s:oon as possible.
I have extended credit to hundreds or
my customers and I will appreciate h
they will come to my assistance by paying
all or a portion of their account, and thus
help me in getting back into business as
soon as possible.
Respectfully,
Pete Blackshear

a new champion has arisen to take

he first in calf roping with a time of
21.3 seconds, but he also tied for
first in the wild cow milking contest.
For his achievements Fred was pre-
sented with a silver belt buckle by
J. B. Lautersiein and a leather bridle
contributed by the Texas Tanning
and Manufacturing company of
Yoakum.
Ed Maier of Orai^e was the win-
ner of the bareback riding event and
Bandera's Sid McDonald took the
steer riding honors. Both boys were
given a pair of silver spurs by the
Central Boot Co. of San Antonio.
The rodeo's clowns, ''Duke1'

trick*. Perhaps their best effort wa-
