THE A8PERM0NT STAR
Shadle Writes
(Continued from page one)
In all of my talks in this campaign
1 have not in any way or manner at-
tacked the personal reputation of any
of the candidates and will not, I quite
agree with Mr Formby that Mr. Ma-
hon is a nice man. It would appear,
however, that he at the a«« of 33,
had from his statement spent S years
in the office of District Attorneys of-
fice. lie undoubtedly spent the most
of tile other -5 years in school and
college. In other words he has had a
good time and knows nothing about
hard times or the trials that go with
them. He has had very little exper-
ience in tin: school of hard knocks,
and could not if possibly know any-
thing about the needs of the average
or under average citizen, having been
reared with this golden spoon at his
mouth. Those of you who have really
seen the wolf at your door can ap-
preciate this.
Mr. Malum has been advertised as
a man who has never had an opponent
for office. Truly fortunate,; indeed,
! '(>••.. litis mean that he has enforced
the law m his district any better than
in other districts around Ins".' NO.
