That the people of San An-
tonio should meet the modest
request made for this work goes
without saying and that they
will do so let us prove.
The people of San Antonio
generally, without distinction as
to race or creed, are giving the
committee much encouragement
and it is to be noted with thanks
that among the most energetic
workers in this movement are
many Protestants and non-
Catholics.
Whenever anyone says that
this is a work for Catholics only
he is met with the quick re-
sponse that the service of the
organization to the enlisted man
is universal, and further, that
military authorities take the
view that me work is a military
necessity and that therefore it is
a work in which all alike are
interested.
