any dress In the world, will play
at the State Fair of Texas, Oct. 12 to
27, when the Hagenbeck-Wallace
moves on to the "grandstand lot" for
a 82 performance engagement. This
circus will come to the State Fa.'r
with the greatest number of wild an-
imal« over taken on tour by any or-
ganization.
One of the big features of the show
is ihe act of Clyde lleatty, 24 yen: j

gers through their routines. i
The circus will unload in Dallas the)
night before the Fair opens and bo j
on the "lot" before the gates open on;
Oct. 12.
The State Fair engagement is not
only the longest run ever made under
canvass by a circus, but is also the
greatest number of performances ev-
er played by one show at one niac-
in the entire south. There are but
few cities in the entire country which
can support a circus for 32 perform-
ances.
There is no basis for the statement
that scorpions, when surrounded by
fire, will commit suicide-by stinging
themselves.
Patents issued by the United States
patent office have fallen off in the
last two years.
