The $2,000 bonded indebtedness
of Blue Ridge school District No.
17, was paid off the 10th of
April, one year before date of
maturity, thus saving the patrons
$100 interest, on the bonds, and
twenty per cent of all school tax, I
that would otherwise have gone
into the sinking funds, thus mak-
ing it possible to reduce the tax
levy and still maintain our high |
standing in school circles of the
county.
A number of men of the Blue
Ridge neighborhood met at the
home of Elmer Hensley, Tuesday
afternoon, whero a base ball dia-
mond was laid off, a back stop
erected and preparations made
to play the national game reg-

ested in playing are requested to
be there Saturday afternoon, May
3, and play or root for the boys.
