A thoughtless person has stolen my blue walker from 226 S. Farmin
in Tuha. I suppose they thought they needed handicap walker with blue
wheels and a fold down seat.
Bring it back
Betty Nall
Editor’s note The Swisher County News will give a $50.00 reward
for information leading to the return of Ms Nall’s walker
Please call 995-0052 if you have such information.

This vear is definitely one for the record books We are just looking
forward to tall and perhaps a change in weather patterns, ^think^that

all the seed we planted in some fields
[here was a new crop insurance program for native grass this year.

March and April segment got payments this week My agent was passing
out loss payments to his customers the past couple of days and he told me
late Thursday evening that he had three different ranchers comment to
him on Thursday that "now they could buy their cows some more cake."
Another week has gone by quickly We did get a little rain at our house
on Tuesday of last week I'think that the rain just centered there and did
not cover much area, because some of our neighbors had none
This is going to be a busy week in Tuha as we celebrate our Swisher
County birthdav I know that there are going to be several great food
booths on the square this year That is always my favorite part' I like
seeing and tasting the different items available. 1 also like the idea of
limiting foods to only one booth so that not everyone is selling hamburg-
ers or hot dogs. That makes the competition easier I know that many
people are coming home for reunions this time. I have heard a lot of
excitement in the voices of those who are here who are eagerly awaiting
the arrival of "old" classmates Maybe next week I can get some good
stones for the column.
We put out flags on July 4 and that was one of the nicest days we have
had recently I really enjoyed the walk putting the flags out that morning
and picking them up in the afternoon. I believe that the flag project is one
of the best things our civic clubs do
John and 1 went to Dallas for the weekend. It was John's regular check-
up with his doctor there, and of course, we got to see our granddaughter
and children while we were there.
Hope all of you have a great week.

June 14. 2011, at Komerstone Chapel Some of you shared your memo-

hearts The music by her beloved “His Image Singers” was lovely, and
the delicious lunch prepared by the First United Methodist Church was
so appreciated. Our heartfelt gratitude extends to the staff of the Conner

they have been providing chiro-

The point is, these ranchers that had the foresight to take care of busi-
ness by buying this new insurance product are not seeing a windfall as a
result They are simply able to "play the game a little longer" by holding
on to their livestock rather than get backed into a comer that results in
forced liquidation
