OUR COAL
Is the finest mined in Texas for steam and domestic use. All our coal is
thoroughly screened, and therefore free from dust. It gives most excellent
results in locomotive engines, and is also extensively used by stationary
boiler plants. Retail coal dealers handle our coal for domestic use.OUR PAVING BRICK
Are the best made in this section
of the Union, and are not sur-
passed by those made anywhere.
The use of Vitrified Paving Brick
is rapidly increasing and taking
the place of Asphal,- Macadam,
Belgium Blocks, etc. Thurber
Brick are used in Fort Worth,
Dallas, Houston, Galveston, Beau-
mont, and other cities of the
South. Wherever used they are
giving entire satisfaction.
Vitrified Brick Pavements are
the best. The cost of main-
tenance is less than any other
pavement. They rank first
in durability under traffic,
freedom from decay, freedom
from dust, ease of traction, etc.OUR BUILDING BRICK
Are made from a carefully selected
grade of shale and prepared with
the most improved machinery.
The color-is a beautiful cherry
red. They are recognized by
Architects and Builders as the
"Standard Brick," and are fre-
quently specified by them. We
make face, ornamental and com-
mon building brick. The follow-
ing are a few of the buildings built
with Thurber Brick: In Dallas, the
Wilson Bldg., Sanger Bros., Dallas
Opera House, Mansur & Tebbetts,
etc. In Fort Worth, the Texas &
Pacific Passgr. and Freight Depots,
Carnegie Library, Pythian Temple,
First National Bank, Swift & Co.'s
Packing House, and many of the
best buildings in other parts of
the State.. .
