and we are open for anything you want to put out there. For the
contributors it may serve as way to help others, for our readers it
may be a way to avoid making mistakes others have made. All letters

Omar Lopez began his career
in the auto market in the year
2003. He became one of the
most outstanding sellers in
volume and all this because of
his dedication to each of his
customers and his professional-
ism. Six months later promoted
to sales manager of the com-
pany managing the Spanish
department and becoming the
company at number one in sales
in 2003. Prior to coming to
Meador Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge
he was at Toyota of Lewisville.
Currently he is the Sales Man-
ager working with Kyle Hunter
(owner) and Charlie Gray
(General manager), all together
focused on promoting the store
in the Hispanic market, helping
to finance vehicles to clients
who only have the passport and
I was always the cool kid in school; I was the one in my group that
first started smoking. Then I moved on to beer and pot, school
became less and less important. I lost some friends along the way,
but I made some cooler friends like me, getting high and listening
to music was now my life. And what a life it was, sure my parents
didn’t’ like it, but what did they know.
A lot other S*** happened till my parents finally gave in and let
me drop out, but I had to find a job. Lucky most of my new friends
were older and worked in construction and hooked me up. Soon
I was pulling $300.00 a week, had a car and a girlfriend that also
liked to get high. And the best part was my boss was cool and we
all would get high at work, yes life was good. But then some crazy
S*** happened, my boss got fired and the new boss was an a-hole
soon after I and most of my friends got fired too. My girlfriend got
pregnant and turned into a real B*, I had to move back in with my
parents. I was trying to get another job, but most everybody asked
for at least a High School Diploma and I did not want to work in fast
food. After 3 months of not working I started working
in fast food, but that was not the worst part. My job was close to a
college and some of my former school friends were going there
and guess what they would come in to eat at least a couple a times
a week. I was embarrassed as S**, when I heard them laughing I
knew they were laughing at me.lt was then that I decided to get my
S** together and go back to school, I was lucky my parents were still
willing
to help me. Now I am almost done with school and no longer work
in fast food,
but I know I wasted a lot of time, so my
advice is don’t’ F*** like me.

Letter From the Editor
As always we are excited about
every publication. This time it
is because we are expanding to
Dallas. From the analytics that
we do we have a strong audience
in Dallas. So to Dallas we say
“bienvenidos”.
We pay homage to Selena. It has
been ninteen years since she was
assassinated. She was a huge
loss to the Tejano-Mexicano
community in Texas. Dios nos
la dio y Dios nos la quito. But
we thank Him for sharing her
with us even if for a few years.
There is considerable angst in
Dallas over a proposal to create
a Home Rule District. The topic
has generated a lot of interest
and bickering in the city. Of
course, we know that all the
noise is nothing more than hot
air. There a lot of adults acting
like a bunch of little children.
We look forward to going to
the district and speaking to
school board members, the
superintendent and the unions.
Our job is to tell it like it is and
that we will do. We visited with
Domingo Garcia and we had
a very nice conversation with
him. We were impressed with
his optimism and desire to be of
service to the community. He
truly walks the talk. Health is a
big concern with the Hispanic
community and we feature this
urgent topic with the Mover
el Bote article. We emphasize
giving back to the community.
Cornerstone is certainly up
to the task. The services they
provide to the needy in the
community are appreciated. In
Tarrant County, we looked at
the results of the primaries and
were impressed with the win by
Ramon Romero, the new state
rep for District 90, Judge Sergio
DeLeon winning by a decisive
margin, Stephanie Davenport
