TEXAS GASOLINE CONSUMPTION.
Data below show net gasoline gallonage taxed,
as reported by the Texas State Highway Depart-
ment. To estimate the total gasoline consumption,
add 15 per cent. This is the estimated consump-
tion being exempted, or escaping taxation. For
1941 and 1942, 20 per cent should be added, how-
ever. The years are fiscal years ending Aug. 31.
