Zuber, William PhysickCol. James Walker Fannin's Men Killed in
Massacre at Goliad.
The list below of the officers and men of Col. James Walker Fannin's command who were
killed at Goliad, March 27, 1836, by order of General Santa Anna, was compiled by Harbert
Davenport, Brownsville, Texas. It is the same list as that inscribed on the monument at
Goliad, erected as part of the 1936 Centennial program, except that a few amendments are
included as printed in the Southwestern Historical Quarterly, July, 1939, and sent subse-
quently directly to the editor of the Texas Almanac by Mr. Davenport. The list Is followed by
'the names of those in Fannin's command who were not killed in the massacre and those who
fought at San Patricio, Agua Dulce and Refugio. (See p. 50.)
