To the Executive Council
Texas State Historical Association
Gentlemen:
In accordance with instructions received, I have prepared the fol-

Exhibit Title
I Comparative Statement of Assets and Liabilities as of January 31,
1969, and January 31, 1968.
II Statement of Cash Receipts and Disbursements-General Fund (for
the year ending January 31, 1969).
III Statement of Cash Receipts and Disbursements-Publication Fund
(for the year ending January 31, 1969).
IV Statements of Cash Receipts and Disbursements-Miscellaneous
Funds (for the year ending January 31, 1969).
V Statement of Changes in Equity Balance-General Fund (for the
years ending January 31, 1968, and January 31, 1969).
VI Statement of Changes in Equity Balance-Publication Fund (for the
years ending January 31, 1968, and January 31, 1969).
VII Schedule of Investments-Publication Fund (as of January 31, 1969).
VIII Schedule of Dividends and Interest-General Fund and Publication
Fund (for the year ending January 31, 1969).
These statements were prepared on the cash basis. However, as in
prior years, the statement of financial position includes receivables
and payables. The statements for the year ended January 31, 1968,
are presented for comparative purposes only.

auditing standards and accordingly included such tests of the account-
ing records and other auditing procedures as I considered necessary
in the circumstances, except as noted in the following paragraph.
Because of the nature of cash receipts, my examination of receipts
was limited to recorded cash receipts deposited in banks.
In my opinion, subject to the comment in the preceding paragraph,145
