OIL PRODUCTION, BY COUNTIES
During the calendar year, 1950, there was
oil production, in some measure, in 177 of
the 254 Texas counties. Figures below are
from the State Comptroller of Public Ac-
counts, for the calendar year, 1950. There is
a small difference between the total given
by the Comptroller and that by the U.S.
Bureau of Mines, caused principally by differ-
ence in time lag in reporting to the two
agencies.County- Barrels.
