the Merkel Public Schools. She
was married in 1942. The couple
made their home in Odessa.

Conway Craig, '25, and publisher
of the Corpus Christi Caller-
Times, died recently in her home
at Capitan, N. M. Conway re-
ceived his B. A. degree in 1925
from H-SU.

Frederick William Johnson, in-
structor in physics and chemistry
for the last 12 years in the Placer
Union High School, Auburn,
Calif., died February 6 in his
home after an extended illness.
Johnson was a veteran of World
War I. He attended H-SU one
year, 1919.
He willed his eyes to the Stan-
ford eye bank to aid in restoring
sight to some blind person. John-
son was instrumental in forming
a local eye bank in Auburn, by
means of which members may

Ballenger, both exes of 1948, on
March 19. His name is Thomas

J. R. (Bob) Stroble, assistant to
the pastor bf the First Baptist
Church, Abilene, has offered his
resignation, effective April 16, to
accept a position as educational
director of the Dauphin Way
Baptist Church, Mobile, Alabama.
Stroble's resignation leaves the
church without a pastor and an
assistant to the pastor. The pas-
tor's vacancy occurred with the
resignation of Dr. Jesse North-
cutt in November.On March 4, Mr. and Mrs.
Minor Berry were in the office.
He is a teacher in De Leon.

and Power Units of Stamford,
visited on the campus March 7.

came by the office March 10. She
is a teacher in Henrietta, Texas.
