proceeds of which wdl be used to
iieautify the grounds surrounding
the lwwly built school liou-e.
The programme w .s rendered
in a most pleasing manner in the
lower room of the school house
which was narked to its utmo-i.
The milliners consisted of reci-
tations music and a short
comedy with a fev coon -ongs in-
tcrpersed. Miss Nora Yarbrough recited
"La-ku" and Miss Mona Lump-
kin "The midnight Ride df Paul
Revere'' both very nicely.
Especially entertaining were the
"speeches" liv the little tots.
Misses Hester and Williams
rendered two pretty piano duets
and one vocal duet all of which
were highly appreciated.
''My Old Kentucky Home" and
"Kontuck Babe'' were sung by a
quartette of Miles' excellent
young gentlemen.
Miss Hester pleased the audience
with a piano -olo. This young
lady has a sweet touch and should
make piano music her study.
Miss Maurice Truly of San
Angelo and Mis' Viola' Truly of
Uallinger in their usual charming
style played two violin duets
accompanied on the pinno by
Miss Genevieve Truly of Uallin-
ger. The house was kept highly
alive for a time by "Sambo from
Coon town" alias Mr. Clyde
....... 1...1.1 ....... . .
Tlionia-. Mr. Thomas did justice
to hi- alias with his hunting
stories jokes and coon song.
The last number on the pro-
gramme was a short comedy "Our
Awful Aunt." Each character
in the play did his or her part ex-
ceedingly well.
As the merry crowd rose to
take their leave the strains of
"Homo Sweet Home" were heard
from behind the curtains played
