Meteorological fall began on Sept. 1. Astronomical fall began
on Sept. 22. But summer-like temperatures have continued
into this weekend, with highs regularly climbing to near 90
degrees.
A cold front will push into the area this week, but it appears
the cool down won't be quite as dramatic as we would like.
We should see a few days with highs in the 70s and lows in
the 50s. It should be getting cooler now. On Oct. 1, the aver-
age high is 83, but that drops to 73 by Halloween.
